User guide

Audience: Users working in the browser UI. Goal: Explain daily operations without forcing readers into code or API details. Type: guide index

The UI is a workbench for moving from a large local collection to a smaller list worth hearing. Database and analysis controls sit on the left, the library list sits in the middle, and search/set tools sit on the right.

Start from what you know

What you already haveOpenWhat you will get
A track that points in the right directionMERT or SONARANearby candidates ranked around the seed
A sound you can describe in wordsCLAPA text-matched listening shortlist
A few anchors and a desired flowSETAn editable ordered preview
A recurring personal judgmentCLASS and Rhythm LabA reusable score for filtering or steering results
A useful group of tracksCurrent set and ExportAn M3U or CSV file for another player or review step

You can move tracks between these surfaces without committing to a final playlist. Search results and SET output are previews until you explicitly add or export them.

Pages

  • Browse library: pagination, search, metadata, preview, seeds, and set actions.
  • Analyze library: choose analysis by purpose, then configure limits, device, progress, cancellation, and reset.
  • Search with seed tracks: MERT, SONARA, and LAB Reference Compare seed workflows.
  • Smart Set Builder: covers the SET controls and Hybrid preview, including automatic anchors and the explicit add-preview step.
  • Text search: CLAP prompts, negative prompts, presets, and score scale.
  • CLASS tab: use a personal learned concept as a filter or SET preference.
  • Export playlists: M3U, CSV, output folder, and Rhythm Lab collections.
  • Tags and audio writes: the exact workflows that can touch audio files.

Work safely

Preview and exports are not commitments. Use the app to find candidates, then listen. Write operations are intentionally separated from browsing and search.
